Concert Capers (CB) Grade 1

Concert Capers by Mark Ford. (Grade 1.5)

Concert Capers was written during covid lockdown in Melbourne, Victoria for the St. Leonard's College Year 6 Band and their director Mr Tarko Sibbel on their awaited return to on-campus learning in 2021. Concert Capers mainly uses the first five notes of the Bb Concert scale with a few notes up to, and including an octave for advanced students. This piece also features what the composer calls a ‘deconstructed’ drum kit part so that the percussion section can collectively perform the work as a drum kit team.
